How to get a Oman Work Permit?
For Pakistani nationals seeking employment in Oman, the sponsoring employer is responsible for obtaining a Labour Clearance and Work Permit before the employee can travel. The Ministry of Labour (MOL) in Oman oversees this process in coordination with the Royal Oman Police (ROP) for entry visas and residence permits.
The application process for a Oman work permit is:
The employer applies for a labour clearance specifying job title, number of workers, and nationality.
Once clearance is approved, the employer submits a work permit application along with required documents.
The Ministry reviews the application and issues the Employment Visa Approval.
The approval is sent to the candidate for visa stamping at the Embassy of Oman in Pakistan.
Upon arrival in Oman, medical tests, biometrics, and residence card issuance are completed.
